Modern Warfare 4 Tools
Two tools. The edition compare panel is for money. The loadout planner is for the first class you should take into 6v6. They are not loot randomizers and they are not script menus. They exist because the wiki should do something a paragraph cannot.
Read editions before you trust the compare checkboxes. Read loadouts before you treat the planner as gospel.
Which tool to open
Open edition compare if you are staring at $70 versus $100 and you want to see Hostile Alliance, BlackCell, and Signature Weapons in one grid. Open the loadout planner if you want a weapon-plus-role card you can screenshot into a Discord. Both tools sit on their own pages so they can be linked from the guides without dragging a full article along.
What these tools are not
They are not official Activision utilities. Prices can change. The planner uses beta meta, which will shift. If a storefront disagrees with the compare grid, the storefront wins. For PC readiness, the “tool” is still a table: PC specs.

Does the compare tool include retailer Steelbooks?+
No. Those are store extras, not Activision editions.
