Modern Warfare 4 Beta Codes

Pre-order or pre-purchase Standard or Vault on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store (Xbox Play Anywhere), Battle.net, Steam, or the Call of Duty in-game store and the beta entitlement attaches to that platform account. You pre-download when the storefront flags the package. There is no second Activision form to fill.

If the download tile is missing, the usual causes are the wrong user profile on console, a Battle.net account that is not linked, or a Steam family-share install that does not own the package. Linking happens at callofduty.com under connected accounts. Do not redeem a random code to “fix” a digital purchase — you will burn someone else’s token.

Boxed PS5 and Xbox copies, and some Amazon or GameStop digital keys, include a 13-character Early Access code. Log into the Activision account you actually play on. Open callofduty.com/redeem or the betaredeem path listed in the email. Paste the code once. Activision then mails a platform-specific token, usually a day before Early Access, for the storefront you selected.

Redeem on the platform you intend to main. A code spent on Steam will not open the PlayStation beta. If the site returns “already redeemed,” the retailer likely sold a used envelope or the first attempt already bound. Support tickets go to the retailer first, then Activision. Game Pass did not grant Early Access this year, so a Game Pass friend cannot piggyback your token.

From August 28 to September 1, anyone on a supported platform could download the Open Beta. That is why social codes dried up mid-week: the gate opened. The Open Beta added Lithium, Hijack, Combat Outpost on Imjin Farmland and Wolves Stadium, and the Warzone Resurgence map Zodiac.

Progression from Early Access carried into weekend two, with the level cap rising from 20 to 30. Beta rewards were cosmetic and account-bound. They do not replace Vault content. If you still want launch access questions answered, jump to pre-order bonuses or how to pre-order.

Region mismatches, already-used strings, and accounts banned under the Call of Duty Security and Enforcement Policy are the three hard stops. Permanently banned Activision IDs from Modern Warfare (2019) forward may be ineligible. Battle.net accounts banned from Modern Warfare II onward cannot buy MW4 from the Blizzard store.

Do not buy codes from auction listings. They are either region-wrong or already redeemed. Official giveaways ran through Call of Duty: NEXT on August 21; anything after that claiming “unlimited MW4 beta keys” is noise. For remaining launch questions, the codes hub points at the right child page.
