When players search “Modern Warfare 4 codes,” they are almost never looking for a daily chat code. They need a beta token, a retailer redemption string, or a clear answer on whether a digital pre-order already registered them. What counts as a code in MW4
Infinity Ward did not ship a Roblox-style code board. The strings that matter are Early Access Beta registration codes (13 characters from physical retailers and some key sellers), platform store entitlements that never show a code at all, and promotional drops from Call of Duty: NEXT or Twitch. Double XP tokens, if they return after launch, will land in the same redeem flow.
Digital pre-orders on PlayStation Store, Microsoft Store, Battle.net, Steam, and the Call of Duty in-game store auto-register the account. You should not hunt a code unless the client refuses to download the beta or Campaign Early Access. Physical Standard editions and many boxed keys still include a paper or email code.

The two beta windows, and what still matters
Early Access ran August 21 at 11:00 PT through August 25. Open Beta ran August 28 through September 1 and did not require a purchase. If you are reading this after those dates, unused retailer codes are not a backdoor into a closed playlist. They may still attach launch entitlements — confirm in the beta codes article before you assume the string is dead.
Campaign Early Access is the next code-adjacent event. Digital Standard and Vault pre-orders on supported platforms play the campaign from October 16, 2026. Nintendo Switch 2 pre-orders opened later than the other storefronts; check the pre-order guide if your Switch 2 copy is still pending.
