Campaign if you care about Park and Price — start on Regular, not Veteran, until the gunplay is in your hands. Multiplayer if you came for 6v6: play the Mobility Course, then Hardpoint, then whatever ranked becomes. DMZ if you want extraction; do not make it your first hour unless you already lived in MWII’s DMZ.

Install size and texture streaming mean you want a wired connection even for “just campaign later.” Multiplayer and DMZ require the net. Split-screen is PS5 and Xbox only. Cross-play is on across PS5, Xbox, PC, and Switch 2.

Do not skip movement. Mantle-to-slide and hang are the new verbs. Ten minutes in the Mobility Course will save you a night of “stuck on a window” deaths. Then copy one class from loadouts — M4 or ISO Nightshade — and ignore Apex until a gun is actually maxed.

Settings: ADS multiplier 0.8, vibration off, blur off. PC players enable TPM 2.0 before they blame the servers. Details on settings and PC specs.

Minutes 0–10: options and Mobility Course. Minutes 10–40: six Hardpoint matches on whatever core maps you get, one class only. Minutes 40–60: either Entrenched if you have it, or one DMZ raid with a cheap kit and a forced extract at minute 20. Then stop and read the hub for the mode you actually liked: campaign, maps, or DMZ.
