Modern Warfare 4 Modes

Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint, Kill Confirmed, Free for All, and Search and Destroy were all in the beta. Hardpoint is still the map teacher: rotations tell you more than TDM spawn flips. Search and Destroy is the ranked-night mode. If you only queue TDM you will not learn Lithium.

Infinity Ward also listed Counter Attack among launch respawn modes. Treat it as a confirmed name from official material, not as a mode we had hours on in the test.

Inflation: eliminate enemies to collect cash, kill HVT operators to steal the bag they are carrying, and the richest players become marked HVTs for the lobby to hunt. Overtime raises the multiplier. It is a bounty playlist, not a second Domination. It joined Weekend One on August 22 with Cachette so map voting could turn on (Infinity Ward needed four 6v6 maps).

Hijack is 6v6 escort. Carry, throw, or pass a Data Spike, plant it at the enemy Comm Station, and score over time while the other team can defuse. Open Beta patch notes flagged a known issue: the spike can become unrecoverable. Do not build a ranked identity on a mode that still had a stuck-object bug in the test.

Kill Block Gunfight ran 3v3 and 10v10. Weekend One pulled 10v10 after August 24 and promised it back for Weekend Two. 3v3 stayed. Gunfight loadouts are often presets; 10v10 is where Create-a-Class breathes. See how to play Kill Block.

Combat Outpost is the large Combined-Arms / Ground War slice. Weekend Two put it on Imjin Farmland and Wolves Stadium, both Hajin geography. Tanks showed up in official beta marketing. It is not the full DMZ raid. Hajin as extraction is Hajin.
