Modern Warfare 4 Editions
Two editions. Standard is $69.99 and is the whole game: Campaign, Multiplayer, DMZ. Vault is $99.99 digital-only and adds operator packs, Signature Weapons, one season of BlackCell, and a DMZ deployment bonus. Digital Standard can upgrade for $30. Physical cannot. Loyalty takes 10% off Vault on official digital stores through October 23, 2026 if you have played a qualifying 2019-or-later Call of Duty on that account.
Use the edition compare tool if you want checkboxes. Vault cosmetics are unpacked on Vault Edition. Pre-order extras that are not edition-specific sit on pre-order bonuses.
The chart
Both editions include the base game. Both digital editions include Campaign Early Access on October 16 and included Open Beta Early Access. Hunter Killer is on digital Standard and on Vault. Vault adds Hostile Alliance (Price, Valeria, Ghost, Blix), Special Forces (UK, Germany, France, South Korea with local VO), five Signature Weapon blueprints, BlackCell for Season 01, and the DMZ bonus.

Who should buy which
Buy Standard if you want the modes. Buy Vault if you already know you will buy BlackCell and operator skins anyway — the math only works if you would have spent the extra $30 in the store. The loyalty discount is the only honest sale. Game Pass is not an edition; it is absent at launch. See review for whether the extra cosmetics change the beta feel (they do not).
Switch 2 buyers should confirm the eShop SKU; pre-orders lagged the other platforms. PC buyers on Battle.net versus Steam should pick the store they already have friends on — Play Anywhere is Xbox/PC Microsoft Store, not Steam. Platforms overview: platforms.
